Kindertransport

by Diane Samuels
Directed by Mark Boergers
November 14 through 23, 2014
Friday and Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 2:00pm

In the late 1930s, the British Government created a special visa program allowing children of Germany, Poland and other threatened nations under the Nazi Regime to immigrate to Great Britain and receive foster care. The goal was to reunite these children with their parents once they could get their affairs together in their home countries. Unfortunately, the advent of the holocaust prevented many of these reunions. Kindertransport is a provocative and emotionally complex tale that weaves past, present, and unsettling fairytale together with remarkable intrigue. Is it best to bury the painful past, or keep it alive as a lesson to future generations?
