Mission Statement
Peer educators provide knowledge, awareness and support on health and mental health issues to other students on campus. The role of a peer educator is to facilitate programs and information to peers on health and mental health issues that impact the academic success and overall wellbeing of students at Cardinal Stritch University.
It is the hope of peer educators to raise awareness about health and mental health issues and to reduce the stigma of dealing with the issues and seeking help. In order to achieve these goals, the peer educators provide outreach workshops and presentations and campaigns geared toward the recognition and prevention of health and mental health issues. By doing so, the peer educators help build the foundation for a healthier lifestyle and foster resiliency among students attending Cardinal Stritch University.
If interested in becoming a peer educator, please contact Laura Ressman at (414) 410-4194.
