Spring 2013 Commencement Information

Cardinal Stritch University will hold its Spring 2013 Commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Delta Center in downtown Milwaukee.

Schedule of Commencement Activities

Nursing Pinning Ceremony- Friday, May 17
The Ruth S. Coleman College of Nursing Pinning Ceremony will be held on campus, Friday, May 17, at 4:30 p.m., in the Nancy Kendall Theater in the Joan Steele Stein Center for Communication Studies/Fine Arts. A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony.

Baccalaureate Mass-Saturday, May 18
A Baccalaureate Mass will be held on campus, Saturday, May 18, at 4 p.m. in the St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, Bonaventure Hall.

President’s Reception: Saturday, May 18
A President’s Reception for all graduates will be held on campus Saturday, May 18, from 5 -7 p.m. in Bonaventure Hall.  Advanced reservations are required for the reception.

Commencement Day- Sunday, May 19
Graduate degree ceremony (Masters and Doctoral): 11 a.m.
Undergraduate degree ceremony (Associate and Bachelors): 3 p.m.

Length of Ceremony
Each ceremony will last approximately 1 1/2 hours.

Procession
Members of the graduating class will process into the Delta Center Ballroom and be seated upon reaching the reserved area. They will stand for "America, the Beautiful" and invocation. Men will remove their caps for the song and invocation and put them on immediately after. Men will also remove caps for the benediction at the conclusion of the program and put them on immediately afterward.

Ceremony Procedure
The graduates will be asked to stand and be presented to the president of the university for the conferral of their degrees. Candidates will be ushered to the stage where the president will present the degrees. Graduates walk across the stage, receive their diplomas, and return to their seats in the reserved areas. 

General Academic Information
The official graduation date is May 19, 2013. If you do not fulfill degree requirements, you must withdraw in writing from graduation and reapply for a future graduation date.

Diplomas will be mailed about two months after graduation.
