First Year Experience

The FYE offered to students in the College of Arts and Sciences is intended to include an introduction to the Franciscan ideas, foster critical thinking and provide college orientation and skills sets for new students.

The Colleges of Business and Management, Education and Leadership and Nursing have similar introductory courses.

The FYE is a general elective course Two Franciscan‐infused courses may be taken at any time in a variety of disciplines: these include some specific reference to Franciscan values and tradition.

The culminating (keystone) experience is intended to help students integrate the Franciscan experience at Stritch and formulate ways to project its ideals into life beyond the campus.
