Associate of Science in Nursing (A.D.N.)
Overview
Cardinal Stritch University's Associate of Science in Nursing (A.D.N.) program is designed for students seeking a nursing degree with a liberal arts foundation in a university environment. Our program is aimed at developing your abilities to practice nursing using the principles of health promotion, maintenance and restoration across the life span in a variety of structured client settings.
Throughout the program you will be exposed to the broad curricular concepts of:
- Nursing process
- Critical thinking
- Communication
- Nursing care
- Professional behavior
- Teaching and learning
Our A.D.N. program is arranged so that you will have a wide variety of clinical experiences in community agencies and hospitals. Some of our clinical sites include: Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital, Sinai-Samaritan Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, St. Joseph’s Hospital, the Agape Community Center and the Oak Creek Health Department.
To complete the degree, 70 credit hours are required. Of these, 32 credits are in liberal arts core courses and 38 are in nursing courses.
