Doctorate in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service

The Doctorate in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service degree program prepares you to make significant contributions to your organization and community. The course of study is designed for educators, professionals, and researchers representing all disciplines and professions. The program’s ultimate goal is to transform individuals, organizations and communities in ways that can enhance the quality of life for society as a whole. In this program, you can earn either a Ph.D., which is more research-based, or an Ed.D., which is more practitioner-oriented.

A new cohort starts once per year in June. The program starts with a two-week, all-day summer institute, which is held at Stritch's main campus in Milwaukee. Upon completion of the institute, classes meet at the candidate's choice of either Cardinal Stritch University City Center in downtown Milwaukee or the Robert Morris University campus located in downtown Chicago. Classes in Milwaukee meet one weekend per month during the fall and spring semesters: Fridays 4-8 p.m., Saturdays 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Sundays 12-4 p.m. Classes in Chicago meet two Saturdays per month during the fall and spring semesters, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Doctorate in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service in Higher Education

The Doctorate in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service in Higher Education degree program prepares you to make significant contributions to your organization and community and will help you become a transformational leader in higher education. The program is designed for current and aspiring leaders working in two- and four-year colleges and universities and community and technical colleges who seek to be a catalyst for meaningful change within their organization. In this program, you can earn either a Ph.D., which is more research-based, or an Ed.D., which is more practitioner-oriented.

Doctorate in Language and Literacy

The Doctorate in Language and Literacy degree program prepares you to act as a literacy leader who understands theoretical and instructional models of literacy, recognizes new literacy trends in our digital age, services literacy acquisition, development and instruction, and fosters systemic change in your organization and community. The course of study is designed for educators, professionals, and researchers with a background and/or interest in literacy, curriculum and instruction, speech and language, or a related field. In this program, you will earn a Ph.D.

A new cohort starts once per year in September. Classes meet one weekend per month at Cardinal Stritch University City Center, located in downtown Milwaukee: Friday 4 to 8 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
