EDUCATION ABROAD RESOURCES
This page serves to connect education abroad participants with resources and tips for students prior to departure, while abroad and upon return to Stritch. There are many aspects of education abroad programs which require students to plan well in advance and to make a dedicated, timely commitment toward their personal preparation prior to departing the United States for their educational journey abroad. Please explore these resources thoroughly.
Applying for an Education Abroad Program
Students must apply for and be accepted to all education abroad programs through the Stritch International Education office. Students should consult with their one-stop counselor and major/minor advisors before submitting your education abroad application packet. It is important to determine well in advance which semester or summer program fits best with each student's academic path. Considerations to be made by each applicant should include:
- Conditions and requirements to participate
- Stritch international education policies
- Passport applications
- Foreign program applications
- Financial aid and program cost
- Scholarships
Applicants applying for a semester abroad program should submit their application packet by Feb. 1 for a fall semester abroad program and by Sept. 1 for a spring semester abroad.
The Education Abroad Office located at Dun Scotus 103 and Dun Scotus 004 is open from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. during the semester.
Want to explore both semester abroad and short-term programs abroad? Wondering how to get started? Please visit our office any Friday at 1p.m. to learn about Stritch education abroad!
