Northwestern Mutual Art Gallery
of contemporary and historical visual artists, as well as Stritch students,
is regularly exhibited.
The Northwestern Mutual Gallery at Cardinal Stritch University is a visual art gallery focusing on contemporary art in a wide range of media. Two curated exhibitions per year plus several other experimental and emerging art shows compliment our annual Senior Exhibition and biannual Faculty Exhibition.
The gallery seeks to actively participate in Milwaukee’s visual art culture by providing exhibition opportunities to local artists and hosting openings and ancillary events that are free and open to the general public.
Housed within the Visual Art Department at Cardinal Stritch University, the gallery provides aesthetic experiences and supplemental research opportunities to the campus community, to facilitate and serve the educational goals of the institution.
A secondary initiative, The Collection Project, is located in a glass display case adjacent to the gallery. This project showcases artifacts and objects collected by people both within and outside of the art community, and “is an experiment in inspiration and compilation, with a goal of becoming a conduit for inquiry.”
The Northwestern Mutual Gallery is located in the Stein Center for Communications and Fine Arts on the Cardinal Stritch University Campus in Fox Point, a lakeside suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Gallery hours for Fall 2014 are noon to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
