ME Instructional Technology Online

The online Master of Education (M.E.) in Instructional Technology (online format) program focuses upon curricular integration of technology in support of PreK-12 student learning.

The program emphasizes how to effectively use computers and digital media technologies as tools to enhance learning, teaching, and training, how to effectively integrate technologies into the curriculum, and how to assume a leadership role in planning, implementing, and supporting instructional technology within a district.

PreK-12 educators, including teachers, principals and other administrators, looking for guided experiences in web 2.0 tools will benefit from this program. In addition, members of the business community who also need to become users of web-based tools will find this program valuable.

This program is fully online, with no required face-to-face meetings. Learning occurs through the development of projects, many of which are collaborative in nature. Program delivery will use web 2.0 applications such as wikis and Google.docs that can be readily found on the web.

There are no face-to-face meetings. Students will be introduced to the needed technology resources before they begin the program to ensure the student is able to engage successfully in electronic communication.
