The Certificate in Lay Ministries is designed for lay people seeking the skills and knowledge needed for ministry within the Catholic Church. The certificate can be either an end in itself or as the basis of an Associate of Arts degree.
The program is grounded in the four formation elements outlined in the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ 2005 document, “Co-Workers in the Vineyard of the Lord.” They are intellectual, spiritual, human and pastoral formation.
Students can complete the certificate program in two years.
