The SEWNTP offers a variety of courses concerning PI 34 professional development plans (PDP). These courses are all designed for all educators, from first-year beginning teachers to administrators and veteran teachers.
Support for Experienced Teachers and Administrators
ED 690: Understanding , Supporting and Facilitating the Spirit of PI 34
Gain an in-depth understanding of the law and the PDP in order to be a resource in your school/district. Participants will unpack the teacher and administrator standards, write a PDP, and understand how to be a reviewer and how to help initial educators and others in writing a PDP. Two or three credits are available for an additional $160/credit (the three credit option is required for the Mentoring Certificate).
Intended audience: Administrators, experienced teachers, mentors, and those who are enrolled in the Mentoring Certificate

EDUC 584: Writing the Professional Development Plan
This course will help you understand the requirements of PI 34 and be able to complete your PDP. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the law and the PDP, explore teacher standards and write a PDP. One graduate credit is available for an additional $160.

PDP Informational Overview and FAQs
Participants will be provided with the most current DPI information that is needed to write a professional development plan. Both overviews will immediately follow the December PI 34 Wisconsin Teacher Standards Based Seminar and will be offered at a Northeast and Southwest location. Please pick a date and location that is most convenient to you.
Intended audience: 1st year beginning teachers and their mentors. Required for those taking the PI-34 Wisconsin Teacher Standards-Based seminars for credit.

The SEWNTP Consortium Inter-district PDP Reviewer Database
The list is a free service provided to consortium initial educators and educators who are writing a PDP. Reviewers are divided into areas in which they are qualified: teacher, pupil services, administrator, or IHE. Please note that reviewers have the right to turn down any request once they have reached their personal capacity.
