Walking the Way of Faith
August 13, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
How has your experience of faith changed over time? On your journey of faith, when has Jesus met you and walked with you along the way? Where might your faith journey be leading you now? Weather permitting, we will pray-walk the outdoor labyrinth at Stritch as part of this morning of reflection.
Register online - $25 per person.
Instruments of Peace
October 1, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Francis of Assisi had a core belief in God’s love and mercy, and that belief flowed outward as peace and goodness to touch the hearts of many people. Come learn more about St. Francis and reflect on how his example can guide us. How can we too
be more fully formed as instruments of peace and goodness? How can we too renew ourselves, our churches, our world?
Presence for Christmas
December 3, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
“O Come, O Come, Emmanuel…” In Advent, we prepare for the coming of the Messiah. But we also affirm “Emmanuel” – God is with us. We don’t need to wait for a God who will be present once we prepare a place for him. God is already in this place. So one spiritual path through
Advent is to work on preparing our eyes to see how God is already present. Let’s spend a morning reflecting on God’s presence, so that by Christmas we can more fully see the Emmanuel that we profess.
