Scholarships for Traditional Students

Scholarships and grants are available to both incoming freshmen and transfer students.Use our Franciscan Heritage Scholarships and Grants calculator, and the information below, to find out what funds are available to you.

To receive full consideration for all of our scholarships and grants, admitted students should submit their completed FAFSA. After the Financial Aid Office receives and processes a student’s FAFSA, they will receive information about accessing their financial aid files online. All financial aid information will be accessible at www.stritch.edu/myfinaidstatus.

2016-17 Franciscan Heritage Scholarships and Grants

Trustee's Scholarship - $16,000 per year
President's Scholarship - $14,500 per year
Dean's Scholarship - $13,000 per year
Merit Scholarship - $10,000 per year
Opportunity Grant - $5,000 per year

Renewable each year and awarded to incoming freshmen based on high school GPA and ACT/SAT scores.

Transfer Student Scholarships and Grants

Serra Scholarship: $12,000 per year
(minimum 3.0 cumulative transfer GPA)

St. Bonaventure Scholarship: $10,000 per year
(2.5-2.999 cumulative transfer GPA)

Transfer Student Opportunity Grant: $5,000 per year
(2.0-2.499 cumulative transfer GPA)

Renewable each year and awarded to transfer students who have attempted at least 12 credits at another institution. Eligibility is determined by your cumulative transfer GPA. Students enrolled in the RN to BSN completion program or BS in Respiratory Therapy completion program are not eligible for these scholarships or grants as the tuition rate for those programs already reflects a discounted rate.

Boys and Girls Clubs Scholarship

$1,000 Scholarship for Traditional Undergraduates

Current club members enrolling in a traditional bachelor's degree program receive this $1,000 scholarship which is included in the student's financial aid package. We are extending this scholarship to parents of club members, and employees, who are seeking a daytime bachelor's degree to help improve access to a high-quality and affordable education. Flahive Athletic Scholarship

Amount varies, renewable

Awarded to incoming freshmen and transfer students competing as part of one of our intercollegiate athletic teams.

Franciscan Servant Scholars Scholarship

Amount varies, renewable

Awarded to incoming freshmen and transfer students who demonstrate involvement in volunteer and community service activities.

Honors Scholarship

One Full-Tuition Scholarship

Awarded to incoming freshmen who demonstrate exemplary academic achievement. Students who have been awarded the Trustee's Level Franciscan Heritage Scholarship will be invited to campus to compete for an Honors Scholarship.

International Student Scholarship

$3,000 per year, renewable

Awarded to select incoming international (non-U.S. citizen) freshmen and transfer students.

Legacy Scholarship

$1,500 per year, renewable

Awarded to incoming freshmen and transfer students who have an immediate family member who graduated from or currently attends Cardinal Stritch University.

Performing Arts Scholarship

Amount varies, renewable

Awarded to incoming freshmen and transfer non-theater majors who demonstrate an ability in music and/or theater.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

$1,000 per year, renewable

Automatically awarded to all transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship

Amount varies, renewable

Awarded to incoming freshmen and transfer students majoring in the fine arts; eligibility is based on academic department and university admission requirements.

Timothy M. Dolan Scholarship

$1,750 per year, renewable

Awarded to incoming freshmen who have graduated from a Catholic high school.

Assisi Visit Grant

$500 per year, renewable

Awarded to incoming freshmen who make an official visit to campus between the dates of June 1, 2015 and May 1, 2016. An official visit is one arranged with the admissions office, a coach, faculty member, or another official representative of the University. In addition to visiting campus, an eligible student must gain acceptance and enroll full-time.

All scholarships have specific academic requirements in order to be renewed from year to year. Scholarship amounts are subject to change and should only be considered final when granted to the student by the university.
