The following essay is designed to allow Cardinal Stritch University to get a better feel for your interest and connection to what makes Stritch such a special place to the over 33,000 alumni and current students that call Stritch home. While optional, we encourage you to share with us a little more about what makes you a great fit to continue the long history of Stritch students.
Cardinal Stritch University is a Catholic institution of higher education, founded and sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Each year, the University focuses on one of the Franciscan values (creating a caring community, showing compassion, reverencing all of creation and making peace). For the 2016-17 academic year, the University has chosen “making peace” as the Franciscan value of focus. “Making Peace” is defined as forgiving others, healing and reconciling, resolving conflicts, and promoting non-violence.
In 250 words or fewer, please describe how you have lived the value of “making peace” in your life thus far, and how you plan to continue to live the value as a current student at Cardinal Stritch University, and throughout your life.
