Update on Stritch's response to COVID-19

May 6, 2020

As we continue to work though the coronavirus pandemic, I wanted to make sure to keep you updated along with our Stritch students, faculty and staff. I also wanted to express on behalf of the entire Stritch family how very grateful we are for you, our supporters, our neighbors, our friends. We are all in this together.

A brief update on life at Stritch:

  • All classes will continue to be delivered in a virtual format through the end of the summer. Our faculty and staff pivoted all of our classes to online in a matter of days starting on March 16. Their quick work ensured a smooth transition for our students. We are charging forward with fall enrollment and we hope to safely see each other on campus for the fall 2020 semester.
  • All of our students who wished to return home have made it home safely. There are 15 students who remain in our residential hall and are well cared for.
  • In-person, on-campus events have been cancelled or creatively moved to an online format.
  • Our Spring 2020 Commencement was scheduled for Sunday, May 17. A video with special messages for the Class of 2020 was shared on what was to have been Commencement Day and can be viewed at this link.
  • As our faculty and staff work to help Stritch students navigate through this difficult time, there are ways for you to help. We are asking for support for the Stritch Pay It Forward Fund, which provides emergency funds to assist students and keep them on the path toward graduation. To help go to

The entire Stritch family is deeply grateful for the dedication and support we have seen during this time. Thanks to all of you who continue to support our Franciscan values and the mission of Cardinal Stritch University.
