The Saint Clare Center for Ministry and Leadership and the Religious Studies Department at Cardinal Stritch University invite you to this discussion of collaboration among clergy and lay people in Catholic parishes. The mission of the Gospel requires the gifts and the efforts of all the baptized. How can those gifts be used faithfully? How can those efforts be coordinated effectively? This discussion will draw some lessons from a particular ministry setting: parishes led by a parish director and an assisting priest, rather than by a priest pastor.
The event will begin with a keynote address by Debbie Hintz and the Rev. Ken Knippel, coordinators of the Saint Clare Center’s Collaborative Parish Leadership Project.  This is a national study of parish directors (also called parish life coordinators) and the priests with whom they collaborate. Ms. Hintz and Fr. Knippel will report on the results of a survey that Stritch recently conducted in collaboration with the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA) at Georgetown.
The keynote will be followed by a panel of invited guests to talk about their own experience of collaboration and how collaboration can serve the mission of the church.

Heavy appetizers will be served. There is no charge for this event.
