In March 2016, Cardinal Stritch University selected Dr. Philip Anderson as dean of the College of Business and Management following a national search. Prior to his appointment, Anderson served as interim dean and as a faculty member since 2014. He replaces Dr. Peter Holbrook, ’84, ’95, ’08, who now serves as president of Milwaukee’s Cream City Foundation.

As dean, Anderson represents and advocates for the College while collaborating with University leadership. His responsibilities include program development strategies and assessing opportunities to ensure both a positive student experience and a vibrant work culture.

“Dr. Anderson is a disciplined and strategic leader with more than 30 years of experience in public and private business, the United States Army, and higher education,” said Dr. Jeff Senese, provost and vice president for academic affairs.

With expertise in organizational development and change management, Anderson has been a strategic leader for large corporations including ManpowerGroup, Inc., JohnsonDiversey, Inc. (an SC Johnson Family company), and the national YMCA.

Anderson earned a doctorate in organization development from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois; a master’s degree in human resource development leadership from the University of Illinois at Urbana; and a bachelor’s degree in workforce education and development from Southern Illinois University.
