MT 120 Overview

Basic statistical methods are discussed and practiced in this course. Topics include displaying and describing distributions, measures of center and spread, correlation and linear regression, methods of gathering data through sampling and statistical experiments, sampling distributions, the normal distribution and the central limit theorem, hypothesis testing and confidence intervals for both one- and two-sample cases. Prerequisite: Placement results or at least a C or better in MT 106 or MT 107.
