Stritch's Department of Visual and Performing Arts presents a unique opportunity for teachers and parents in lieu of our usual Theater for Young Audiences production this year.

"Once Upon a Time" is an exciting presentation of 8 original short fairy tales written by Stritch students and alumni, each with a unique moral and message; addressing modern and timeless themes such as loyalty, honesty, equity and inclusion, gender equality, people with disabilities and more. The fairy tales will be presented virtually in a video package appropriate for all ages, with fairy tales appropriate for ages 5K through 4th grade and beyond. The tales are voiced by current Stritch theater students and alumni, and illustrated by Stritch Graphic Design student including photographs of characters costumed by Stritch's Theater program.

In addition, each fairy tale will come complete with a study guide and suggested enrichment activities compiled by Stritch Education students to enhance the viewing experience. Select fairy tales and study guides will also be translated into Spanish by Spanish Language and Cultures Program students.

Be a part of a truly unique event that brings together so many Stritch disciplines into one exciting production. These fairy tales and supporting materials are presented free to teachers and parents.
