Just like the Beatles-led “British Invasion” of the pop music world in the 1960s, English composers have had a similar impact on the classical music world, in the U.S. since the time of our nation’s founding.
The Stritch Community Orchestra concludes its 2022-23 concert season with performances of music by some of the British masters, including Benjamin Britten, Edward Elgar, Gustav Holst, Ralph Vaughan Williams and even Arthur Sullivan.
