President's Greeting

Each day I walk through the Leadership Commons, I pass the portraits of those who preceded me, including Mother Bartholomew Frederick, O.S.F., Sr. Ignatius Wiesner, O.S.F., Sr. Aquin Miller, O.S.F., Sr. M. Camille Kliebhan, O.S.F., and Sr. Mary Lea Schneider, O.S.F.  Their lifelong commitment to Stritch and the actions they took as leaders to build a rich and transformative legacy remind me of what can be accomplished when there is a common purpose.  I also am reminded of the ongoing obligations we all bear to ensure the continuation of the Stritch legacy and the University’s success over the long term.

As alumni/alumnae, you play a critical role, not only in the preservation of the Stritch legacy, but also in maintaining the University’s leadership role in higher education.  The impact you have had on the lives of others over time reflect both your personal gifts and the ongoing application of our Core Values:  Showing Compassion, Reverencing All of Creation, Creating a Caring Community, and Making Peace.

The Jubilarian Weekend offers all of us a wonderful opportunity not only to reconnect with classmates, staff, and faculty, but also to celebrate Stritch and the legacy to which all of us have contributed over time.

On behalf of the entire Stritch Community, we look forward to welcoming you in June as we celebrate the Class of 1968 and introduce you to the next chapter of the University’s growth and opportunity.

Sincerely,

Kathleen A. Rinehart, J.D.
President
