Junior business major Michael Snowden represented Stritch in the Greater Milwaukee Committee’s Innovation in Milwaukee (MiKE) initiative, Destination Innovation. Snowden was one of 10 students selected out of more than 100 applicants from 21 colleges and universities in the state of Wisconsin.

Southwest Airlines flew participants to the Kohl’s Department Stores Digital Center in Milpitas, California. En route, students collaborated with mentors on customer service innovation in the retail and airline industries.

Before arriving at their final destination, students pitched their solutions to fellow Southwest passengers, who voted for the best idea. Upon arrival, students met with representatives from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin-based Kohl’s.

"Destination Innovation was an amazing experience," said Snowden. "I learned so much and met interesting people from Kohl’s and Southwest."

Stritch alumnus Michael Hostad, ’10, is the executive director of MiKE.
