Marie Kordus (B.F.A. Art, ’77) released “ Idea Poetry to Guide Your Passionate Pursuits” in July 2016. Founder and president of hibrowsing.com, she offers readers encouragement and inspiration through her seamless treatment of prose and illustration.

After a national search, Kordus was selected to contribute to the 2016 book “Stepping Stones to Success” with Deepak Chopra, Jack Canfield, Dr. Denis Waitley and other respected authors. Kordus lives in Los Angeles and has enjoyed a successful career as an art director for films, co-owner of a talent agency, radio and television marketing, and author.

Kimberla Lawson Roby (B.S. Business Administration, ’93) published her 24^th novel, “A Sinful Calling,” in June 2016. The most recent addition to her fictional “Rev. Curtis Black” series, the novel has been featured inThe Chicago Tribune and Essence.com.

In 2013, Roby received an  NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literary Work in Fiction. The same year, she was featured on the cover of  Writer’s Digest , a publication featuring writers of all genres.
