Northwestern Mutual Vice President of Financial Management Deborah Schultz, FSA, EA, FCA, MAAA, has been elected to a three-year term on the Cardinal Stritch University Board of Trustees. Schultz was elected by the Board and confirmed by the University’s founding Congregation, the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi. She will serve as a member of the Board’s Audit, Finance and Enrollment Committee. 

"Deb’s tremendous breadth and depth of financial and insurance industry experience, as well as her collaborative leadership style, will be an asset in navigating the dynamic higher education governance environment," said Dr. James P. Loftus, president of Cardinal Stritch University. "She joins a distinguished group of Northwestern Mutual executives who have served as key volunteers at Stritch over the years. Schultz has an extensive record of success including more than a decade of financial leadership at Northwestern Mutual. As vice president of financial management, she oversees five divisions of the company including budget and expense management; corporate financial planning; treasury; enterprise vendor management; and insurable risk.

Schultz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she double-majored in actuarial science and risk management and insurance.
