Institute offers training to enhance understanding of conflict

In spring 2018, Stritch introduced the Institute for Conflict Studies, which is designed as an interdisciplinary forum for people engaged in a wide range of professions to enhance their understanding of conflict. The Institute offers instruction and training on topics such as negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and public policy consensus-building to help people learn to identify, prevent, manage, and resolve conflicts in their everyday work and community lives.

Stritch has received approval from the Higher Learning Commission to offer a 12-credit graduate certificate in Dispute Resolution. Courses will be offered in 2019.
In fall 2018, the Institute added “Fridays at Stritch,” a series of sessions designed to help attendees build understanding, collegiality and critical thinking.
