Stritch HUB for Innovation and Community Engaged Learning

Strengthening lives, organizations and communities through collaborative, catalytic programs

The Stritch Hub for Innovation and Community Engaged Learning brings together dynamic approaches to education in a synergistic whole. The Hub launches and develops innovative ideas, programs and services that strengthen the social and economic fabric of the greater Milwaukee community and beyond. Leaders within the Hub pride themselves on being “disruptive” by challenging the status quo and being catalysts for positive change.

“We are committed to creating pathways for students, community members and organizational partners to transform and strengthen their ability to achieve goals, fulfill aspirations, and serve the greater good,” said Dr. Mark Gesner, ’13, executive director of The Stritch Hub.

Recognizing that one of the best ways to remain relevant and impactful is to meaningfully collaborate with valued partners in mutually beneficial ways, The Hub builds local and global relationships that spark growth and have significant results for individuals and organizations.

Cornerstone programs in The Hub include: the African American Leadership Program (AALP), the Literacy Center, Mission Fuel, the Center for Excellence in Public Safety Leadership, Mission-Driven Leaders Speaker Series, and the Project Pitch It television program. The Hub, which also includes the Experiential Learning and Career Education office, is structured to allow the University to nimbly incorporate additional initiatives that continue Stritch’s history of developing and implementing life-changing programs.

“The Hub is focused on continuing and building upon Cardinal Stritch University’s legacy of innovation and leadership that ultimately strengthens individuals, our systems and the world in which we live,” Gesner said.
