Cardinal Stritch University will hold the second annual Stritch Service Day on Friday, April 28, 2017. This will be an opportunity for alumni, students, faculty, and staff to come together through service to Stritch and the greater Milwaukee community.
With classes canceled for the day, volunteers will disperse to more than 20 non-profit sites in the greater Milwaukee area. Service activities range from pulling invasive plant species at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center to caring for infants at St. Ann’s Intergenerational Care Center to working the garden at the Motherhouse with the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi.
“We, at Stritch, have the privilege of living out the legacy of our founders – the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi,” said President James P. Loftus. “Service Day is a wonderful opportunity for our students to embrace this legacy and enact the values that we strive to uphold.”
