Cardinal Stritch University has announced the appointment of Marc R. Barbeau as Vice President for Institutional Advancement and External Relations.

“With more than two decades of higher education leadership and fundraising experience, Marc’s passion for advancing mission is contagious,” said Stritch Interim President Dr. Dan Scholz. “He is a proven leader who will ensure generations of students will have the opportunity to benefit from a Stritch education and build upon our University’s proud legacy. Marc’s strategic insight will help cultivate a culture of philanthropy that will support our Catholic, Franciscan mission.”

“We are excited to have Marc join our Stritch team and look forward working with him in Advancement efforts,” said Mary T. Kellner, Ed.D., ’07, co-chair of the Stritch Board of Trustees.

Barbeau most recently served as Vice President at Ter Molen Watkins & Brandt (TW&B), a Chicago-based fundraising consulting firm. TW&B’s clients include national nonprofit organizations of all size, including members of the Association of Franciscan Colleges and Universities. He has held senior advancement positions at Carroll University and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

“After working as a consultant with the Stritch leadership team during the last several months, I accepted the opportunity offered by Dr. Scholz, knowing that it was fully supported and encouraged by the Board of Trustees. I am proud to serve and partner with Dr. Scholz and the Stritch family as we lead and create a climate in which the entire university community can work together to address ever-changing opportunities and turn them into remarkable successes.”

Barbeau earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Carroll University (Waukesha, Wis.) and a master's degree in management and organizational development from Silver Lake College (Manitowoc, Wis.).
