Stritch celebrates December Nursing graduates
Cardinal Stritch University celebrates graduates from its nursing programs at a December 16 pinning ceremony.
The nursing pin is a symbol that welcomes students into the nursing profession. The pin affirms completion of Stritch's academic requirements and demonstrates each students' commitment to those they will serve and the nursing profession.
The Stritch nursing pin depicts the University's logo - the rose window that resembles the window in the Basilica of St. Clare in Assisi, Italy. Stritch was named St. Clare College when it was founded in 1937.
Stritch President Dr. Dan Scholz shared a message of congratulations with the graduates. "Thank you for choosing Cardinal Stritch University for your educational journey. We are all proud of your accomplishments. You have made tremendous sacrifices along the way. We applaud you for your academic achievement and the inspiring career choice you have made."
Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Kate Meudt, '17, also addressed the graduates. "As you prepare to move on from Stritch, you can be reassured you will carry a very important part of your Stritch experience with you. Your time at Stritch has been shaped by the Franciscan values of creating a caring community, showing compassion, making peace and reverencing all of creation.
"While leaving Stritch and transitioning from student to full-fledged professional may seem daunting, you should be confident that the education and training you have received here at Cardinal Stritch University has prepared you to not just to succeed, but to thrive as professionals and as people."
