Announcing the 2018 Alumni Award recipients...

The Alumni Association Board of Directors is pleased to announce the 2018 Alumni Award recipients.

Congratulations to Sister Angelyn Dries, '70; Sister Coletta Dunn, '60; Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation; Dr. Mary Kellner, '07; and Amy Rislov, '11. The honorees will receive their awards on Saturday, June 9.

Sister Angelyn Dries, OSF, '70
Distinguished Alumni Award for Professional Achievement 

- Former professor at Cardinal Stritch University and Saint Louis University 
- Scholar, researcher, and author of the book "The Missionary Movement in American Catholic History" 
- Served as past president of the American Society of Missiology, served as President of the Stritch Sigma Tau Delta, English Honor Society as well as many other boards and associations
Amy Rislov, '11
Graduate of the Last Decade Award 
- Chief Human Resources Officer at Aurora Health Care
- Focused on supporting leaders and caregivers in creating the best possible environment to work and to provide care to patients
- Active in the community, with ongoing service to: Meta House Board, Next Door Foundation Board Member, Aurora UW Medical Group Board
- Enables a high performance culture, including efforts around workforce diversity and inclusion, as well as learning and development
Dr. Mary Kellner, '07
Spirit of St. Francis Award: Alumni Service
- Cardinal Stritch University Trustee
- Generous investor in student scholarships, the Stritch Literacy Center, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, the LDRS program (a high impact student retention initiative), and other numerous initiatives at Stritch
- Active in a number of southeastern Wisconsin organizations, including: Next Door Foundation, The Nehemiah Project, Schools That Can Milwaukee, the I Have A Dream Milwaukee program, and Pathways High School, and many others

Sister Coletta Dunn, OSF, '60
The Mother Bartholomew, OSF Lifetime Achievement Award.
- Taught theology at Stritch from 1964-2012
- Leader in faith formation in special education
- Won the Vatican II Award for Service in Education, in part for the awareness and inclusion brought forward for persons with disabilities, through lectures, writing and personal advocacy

Spirit of St. Francis Service Award: University Supporter
- Strategy of funding student success programs has had a tremendous impact on Stritch students for over 8 years
- Provided the grant funds that launched the LDRS Learning Community and the Career Ready Internship Program: the first truly intentional approach for helping first generation, low income, and students of color gain the necessary tools, information, and support systems to thrive in and graduate from college
