
Three students earn recognition in Delta Epsilon Sigma national writing competition

Three Stritch students were recognized in the national 2019-20 Delta Epsilon Sigma Undergraduate Competition in Creative and Scholarly Writing. Delta Epsilon Sigma (DES) is a national scholastic honor society for national scholastic honor society for students, faculty, and alumni of colleges and universities with a Catholic tradition in the United States.
Nick Rondinelli's essay "Overcoming Control Deficiency" earned first place in the Creative Nonfiction category. He will receive $500 and his essay will be published in the DES Journal.
Giovanni Cantoral earned honorable mention in the Poetry category for his poem "A Pond and Memories."
Myha Sprifke's short story "Blue" received honorable mention in the Fiction category. Myha is pictured below on the right.
