Testing Center

The Testing Center at Academic Support

currently offers the following exams for students:

The CollegeBoard ACCUPLACER

The Accuplacer is available for incoming Stritch students; the test assists in the evaluation of student skill level and placement of students in appropriate courses.

The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) Test

CLEP assesses college-level skills and knowledge in a variety of subject areas so that students may have an opportunity to earn credit in certain subjects without taking college courses.

WebCAPE Language Proficiency Test

WebCAPE is a computer-adaptive placement exam that assesses students' proficiency to help with accurate placement in college language courses (including Spanish, French, German, Russian, ESL (English), Chinese, & Italian).

FLATS (Foreign Language Achievement Testing Service)

The Foreign Language Testing Program provides tests for up to 60 languages (that may not be available via WebCAPE). The exam assesses students' language proficiency and may allow students to test out of certain foreign language courses or requirements.

Test Format

Accuplacer has six parts: Arithmetic, Elementary Algebra, College-Level Math, Sentence Skills, Reading Comprehension, and WritePlacer. Speak with your Admissions Counselor to determine if you are required to take the entire placement test, or if you are only required to take specific portions.

How to Sign Up

Accuplacer tests are offered on the main campus every week on Tuesdays at 12:00 p.m. and Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m. Students must register to take the test with their Admissions Counselor or Advisor.
