Stritch celebrates 85 years

July 17, 2022, marked the 85th anniversary of the founding of Cardinal Stritch University by the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi.

“It is my privilege to serve and help build upon the rich legacy that began when Stritch was founded in 1937,” said Stritch President Dr. Dan Scholz. “The vision of the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi who founded St. Clare College remains true today: we are rooted in the values of Catholic Christianity and inspired by the spirit of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi and the heritage of the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi and called to transform individuals to ‘approve the better things’ as they discover their purpose in life.”

Doctorate in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service

I came to Stritch for my MBA because, while being a full-time student as well as a parent, I needed the flexibility to raise my children and work every day. The program felt right, and I loved it so much I came back for my Ph.D.

Nursing Major

Being able to learn in the hospital setting taught me how to be successful as a nurse in the real world. There is difference between a simulation and the actual hospital and this was a big learning curve for most people.

Double major in Criminal Justice and Spanish

I have been privileged to have professors Amber Tucker and Marilyn Jones who not only cared about my academic well being but were very supportive when I needed someone to just simply care about my own well being.
