Spanish Biomedical Sales Major

This major is an expansion of the Biomedical Sales major. There are many opportunities in the pharmaceutical and medical technology industries. You can expect to be prepared in human biology - specifically microbiology, anatomy and physiology and development biology while also training in corporate communication, and understanding how the human machine works through courses that are focused on the structure and function of the human body.

Fluency in Spanish and familiarity with the culture will be a definite advantage in the sales arena. 

Program Overview

You will learn how the human machine works through the study of anatomy, physiology and microbes as well as the tools needed to communicate at the corporate level. You will learn strategies and tactics for securing sales through written and face-to-face communications with different audiences, public speaking, productive teamwork and persuasive communications. This major is combined with Spanish language skills and cultural understanding to serve the Spanish-speaking community.

Concentration Overview

Corporate Communication Concentration equips students with the tools they need to communicate at the corporate level. Includes strategies and tactics for communicating with different audiences in writing and face-to-face, public speaking, and working in teams.

If you want to learn how to maximize your quality of life, then the Human Biology concentration could prove invaluable.

Liberal Arts Core

The Liberal Arts Core Curriculum is rooted in the Liberal Arts and our Franciscan heritage. It is designed to create a framework to develop knowledge, skills, and responsibilities necessary to educate students so that they will be prepared to contribute to the world guided by a concern for issues of justice and ethical behavior.

Professional Core

Culminating Experience

Giving students a culminating experience as well as practical work experience, the Professional Core is a graduation requirement for every Stritch student in a bachelor’s degree program. This bachelor’s degree program includes completion of the Professional Core consisting of three courses:
  • Pre-Internship
  • Internship
  • Capstone
