The master's degree in clinical psychology from Stritch is professional counselor license eligible and is a preapproved program by the state of Wisconsin. Expect to be challenged with training in counseling, the empirical basis of clinical practice and scientist-practitioner methodology. Program Overview
The Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology is designed for you if you are interested in master’s-level clinical practice and is appropriate for you if you plan to obtain a Ph.D. or Psy.D. The program is founded on a scientist-practitioner model, and trains you to understand research and theory in an ethical and critical manner. All courses integrate science and practice, with an emphasis on ethics and the roles culture, race and gender play in assessment and therapy. This program manages to infuse scientific rigor into a master's-level training program. While the state of Wisconsin offers dozens of master’s-level counseling programs that prepare you to practice as LPCs, our degree program is the only terminal master’s program in clinical psychology that is license-eligible in the state. You will graduate with 700-1000 hours of internship fieldwork, leaving the program as an experienced, mature practitioner acclimated to real-world practice.

- Our clinical psychology master's program is 60-credits, but our non-license eligible general psychology master's program is 30-credits.
