Optometrists, also known as Doctors of Optometry, diagnose, manage and treat conditions and diseases of the human eye and visual system. A Doctor of Optometry degree is a four-year graduate, professional program. The work of optometrists requires attention to detail, good manual dexterity and the ability to deal tactfully with patients.
The three-year, pre-professional certificate program satisfies the academic entrance requirements of most medical, veterinary and pharmacy schools/colleges. You will have the minimum requirements for professional school/college applications at the end of three years provided you follow the specified curriculum sequence designed for the program.
