Sport and Recreation Business Major
At the end of the day, sport - along with the growing field of recreation - is a business. Our program focuses on the qualitative and quantitative aspects of business and demonstrates how that relates to the success of sports organizations. The revamped curriculum of our Sport and Recreation Business program will give you experiences in bringing revenue into a sports organization, how to use that money effectively to grow and how to provide great customer service experience.

The Sport and Recreation Business (SRB) program prepares you with the knowledge to successfully navigate the ever-changing business aspects of the sport and recreation field. You will be prepared for a variety of career opportunities, including positions with professional sport teams, college athletic departments, college recreation programs and community recreation departments.

Concentration Overview
The Introduction to Sport & Recreation Business (SRB) concentration allows students to gain a foundational level of knowledge of the SRB field. Students will take courses designed around gaining familiarity within the industry, how it works, and paths to career opportunities.
Concentration Overview
The Advanced Sport & Recreation Business (SRB) concentration is designed to give students a more in-depth view at the SRB field. Students will take courses based on finance, economics, marketing, and sales to understand some of the more critical aspects needed for success in the SRB field.

Job Opportunities
Students in this program will gain hands-on experience through Stritch Wolves Athletics. As an NAIA athletic program, students can utilize the skills learned and apply them to other universities or high school athletic programs.
Students' experiences will allow them to make immediate impacts in their future careers. The wide range of information that is learned and applied will provide students with the confidence to understand what it takes for organizations to be successful.
