BL 115 Overview
This is an introductory laboratory course primarily designed for nursing, health science students and biology majors/minors. It is a foundational course covering the basic structure and function of the human body at various levels, including the cell, the tissue, the organ, and the organ system. The focus of this course is normal structure and function; however, some disease states may also be discussed. The labs of this course will focus on the following areas: anatomical terminology, foundational chemistry, eukaryotic cells, histology, the skeletal, muscle and nervous systems. Corequisite: BL 113.
