CA 347 Overview
Conflict and communication are pervasive in human social life. This course examines mediation techniques as means of resolving conflicts in various settings. Mediation is the intervention of a third party to assist those in a conflict in determining their own resolution. Basic mediation introduces the theory of mediation, a balanced model of mediation, and introductory mediator skills. Students will learn other, more specialized models of mediation, restorative justice techniques, and advanced mediator skills.
