ED 495 Overview

This course introduces teacher candidates to the profession of education through the lens of the InTASC Core Teaching Standards and the Danielson Framework for Effective Teaching. In addition, this course prepares teacher candidates to prepare their respective Pedagogical Knowledge Assessments for local evaluation. Teacher candidates will examine their paradigm of learning and teaching as well as the attitudes and dispositions of effective teachers. Other topics addressed in this course include best practices and cognitive neuroscience in education. Prerequisite: ED 355, 3.0 GPA in education coursework and overall. Corequisite: ED 481 or EDSED 488.
