MU 106 Overview

This course provides a basis for the understanding and application of the following music theory knowledge base: first species counterpoint, dominant seventh chords, leading tone seventh chords, non-dominant seventh chords, seventh chord inversions, voice leading in four voices, four-part harmonization and modulation. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be prepared to continue the study of music theory in MU 210. Prerequisite: MU 105.
