NUR 300 Overview

This course introduces principles of nutrition for patients across the lifespan. Nutritional needs of patients experiencing health and illness and the impact of environmental, mental, emotional, social, spiritual, and cultural factors are addressed. Therapeutic application based on clinical reasoning in patient teaching is emphasized. Prerequisite: RN to BSN: SEM 103 and NUR 310 or otherwise granted permission by the Dean or designee; BSN: BL 111 or BL 106, BL 112.
