NURT 412 Overview

This course focuses on acute and complex illness and disease experienced by the adult and geriatric patient. A person-centered approach will be used to provide holistic and culturally competent care through discussion of evidence-based nursing interventions. Stigma reduction will be a focus in this course. Inter-professional communication, information management, safety and quality care, professionalism, health promotion and disease prevention in acute care settings will be addressed. Prerequisite: NURT 224, NURL 224. Corequisite: NUR 310.
