POLS 252 Overview

This course will focus on the rich history and contemporary politics of Africa or Asia. The course will begin with a survey of the region’s history highlighting its political, social and economic history. The second part of the class will examine how that history informed contemporary Africa or Asia. It will study of the region’s political process, the varieties of governmental systems and institutions and how the region’s states interact with each other and the rest of the world.
