PS 223 Overview
This course provides students with an overview of age-related psychological changes. Topics include cognitive development, information processing, memory, intelligence, sexuality, and personality, as well as the biological and sociological bases for normal and psychopathological aging. Interactions among gender, race, culture, and age are examined. Positive age-related changes, including the role of expertise and successful aging, are discussed. Prerequisite: Students majoring or minoring in psychology must take PS 101 before taking this course.
