PS 250 Overview

This course describes psychoactive drugs that affect a person's perceptions, emotions, cognitions and behaviors. The course emphasizes the physiological and neurological effects of drugs, though social, historical and personality issues associated with drug use, abuse and treatment are discussed. Prerequisite: Students majoring or minoring in psychology must take PS 101 before taking this course.
