PS 404 Overview

This course provides students with hands-on experience as a psychological research assistant on a faculty-driven research project. It requires a basic understanding of research methods. Under the guidance of a faculty member the student will participate in activities that might include data collection, analysis, literature reviews, or other components of academic research. Students may receive 1-3 credits for this course depending on the extent of the student’s involvement in the research project and the nature of the research assistant duties. Number of credits to be awarded will be determined by the individual faculty member and the department chairperson before the start of the practicum experience. This course is offered pass/fail. Prerequisite: PS 101, sophomore status, written consent of the instructor and department chair.
