Holly joined the Stritch Academic Advising Team in 2011. Prior to Academic Advising, Holly worked in a higher education Admissions role and therefore understands the student experience when applying and enrolling at a new school. As an academic advisor, Holly assists students will class registration, long-range graduation planning, understanding policies of the University, and how to best connect to resources on campus. Since starting at Stritch, Holly has served as the primary Academic Advisor for the daytime/traditional nursing students. She is a great connection between the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and the Student Success Center. Academic Advisors are connected to almost all departments on campus so students should feel comfortable reaching out to the Advisor to get connected and make the most proactive progress towards their degree. "Being an Advisor at Stritch gives me a lot of opportunities to impact my students' experiences on campus. I'm always trying to improve how the advising team organizes and presents curriculum information to new and current students. We want students to take responsibility for their degree plan, yet always know they can work with us as trusted partners to help them navigate their time here. I take great pride in being proactive with my students' needs so they can spend more time focusing on their classroom learning. The Advising structure and focus at Stritch allows us to get to know each of our students individually, which helps to reinforce the campus value of a caring community."
