As a college instructor and communications professional, I have developed the ability to connect with diverse audiences. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Marquette University and my master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. For the past 16 years I have been teaching English, Writing, Rhetoric and Composition courses for Cardinal Stritch University. I am passionate about helping all students succeed and have a special interest in those who are disadvantaged in some way— either students who are the first in their generation to go to college or those with a high Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) score. In addition to teaching, I am actively involved in the communications industry through writing, editing, radio and TV projects. For the past five years, I have volunteered as an Urban Promise mentor and as a Catholic youth and teen ministry leader.
