After graduating with a degree in Fine Arts, my career began in banking where I worked as an auditor and accounting officer, then moved to the insurance field, primarily in human resources and employee benefits. I spent the next 17 years at Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (Summerfest), principally as the Director of Sponsorship and Planning. During that time I also attended Stritch in the Post-Baccalaureate Teaching program and acquired about 70 credits. I was not, unfortunately, able to complete the Program. Looking for a new challange, I became the Executive Director of a small non-profit - Volunteer Missionary Movement - which recruited, trained and placed volunteers of all ages, as well as families, with our project partners in Guatemala, Nicaragua and El Salvador. I now work part-time at the Cardinal Stritch University Literacy & Math Center. And I am also pursuing my first passion - painting in pastel and watercolor as an award-winning artist.
"The reason i chose Stritch was the opportunity to work in the field of literacy, which has been a passion of mine since childhood. I love to read and I believe it is critical to a fulfilling life, one filled with choices and creative imagination. "
